I had yet to read any Marie Lu but have always heard such great things about her writing style and this synopsis had me sold, I HAD to read it immediately! Even this short excerpt grabbed my attention and made me want to keep reading, from the behind-the-scenes of a famous singer to the heart of his desire to be a better person I loved that Lu wrote Winter Young as a character that was easy to want to know more about. Beyond the fame, I could tell his backstory would create an interesting character growth arc, and I can't wait to see how he turns into a spy and starts making a difference in making the world better! Having read many titles that featured star musicians, this was just a fun, unique take on that, and who doesn't love something new and different?!
