This was a cute story, with some serious stuff sprinkled in. It was a little predictable, but an easy read.

The characters, while mature, do sometimes act their age.
In the beginning, I did not like Sydney but she grew on me, mostly because of how self-aware she was. As a character, she experiences the most upheaval. I'm glad she was able to call herself out on her BS.

Winter was more relatable in terms of family life. Although he was pretty perfect from the get-go (singer, dancer, goes the extra mile for his fans, loyal, etc, etc), his inner turmoil was strong. I am glad he gets some of his questions answered.

The author also managed to casually slip in an LGBTQ+ nod.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. I was able to figure out the real villain quite early on. I think the text chats were unnecessary.

Interested in continuing this series, because the author spent so long building these characters up.
