I would like to make a disclaimer that I only read the first impression of this book from Bookish First. this seems like a very very important story to tell. As someone who has struggled with weight gain and weight loss throughout my teenage years, I really feel like more girls (and boys) need to read something like this. I think that the kids who are struggling should read this to know that they are not alone and the kids who are not struggling to know what it feels like to be pestered and judge and harassed because of their weight. my heart is so full from only the first few chapters. i’ve grown attached to the characters. I have found this internal peace knowing that this type of book is being shared with the world. I think that this should be used in education, so that young girls and boys aren’t ashamed of their weight or of themselves in general. I think that if this book was used in education it could help with bullying and make younger people realize the harm of bullying. this was a beautiful first impression and I will be purchasing a final copy.
