Where to start? Let’s go with I could have used this book growing up a curvy girl, now woman, in a world of it’s not ok to be “fat”. The words in the book moved me to tears because I have felt so much & sometimes more of what Ellie has. The way it’s presented as little poem type stories is great! I know so many girls, teens & adults that would benefit from having a book like this handy. To know it’s perfectly fine to be ok in your own body, to know that the hurtful words others say to you can happen & how it shows you a way to know how to handle that. I wish there was more of this book. Ellie has the undying spirit inside her that I would love to see as she grows into an adult. I know that I will read this book again when I need that boost of self confidence & I will buy a copy for my niece when it goes on sale cause I see how she is already struggling with how she looks & a book like this can help her see how she is perfect the way she is.
