This book is helping young girls everywhere about their weight. This book is teaching young girls that you don't need to follow Ellie's rules to live by as the fat girl. Throughout the book Ellie makes new friends and finds allies to align herself with. She knows at the end of the book that she is perfect just the way she is and that she does not need to fold under society's views. This book teaches how unfair people are treated based on their weight and that they always have someone to go to to help cope and feel better. An inspiring book for young girls who struggle with their weight. Teaching that even though everyone has different ways to cope, you will always have someone to lean back on when you need support.
