Although this is a middle grade book, it should be read by EVERYONE. Body-shaming can never be right and everyone should know this. It really broke my heart reading Ellie's story and what she has to go through. Some parts really had me in tears as it is hard to imagine someone let alone an 11-year old kid to be going through so much. All the hurtful comments and bullying that lead to forming a 'rule book' for the not-so-skinnies. As ridiculous as it sounds, it is even more pathetic when one's own family is not supportive and makes it worse, like in Ellie's case.

However, what I loved about this book is how the entire situation was dealt with from therapy to confrontation, teaching us that attacking is not a solution. Plus, the therapist metaphorically directing Ellie was beautiful considering she was fond of writing and found comfort in metaphors.

A must read for everyone!
