This story absolutely flew by. I don’t think I read the synopsis very carefully, so I was surprised when I started reading and saw that it was written in poetry form. I normally don’t read a lot of poetry. It’s not that I don’t like it, I just don’t normally gravitate towards it. However, I was hooked very quickly with this book. I sat down and read the whole passage in one sitting. I thought that the main character, the narrator, is very strong and likable. She feels very relatable and sympathetic. She also deals with real issues that many young girls deal with. The main focus of the book is a young girl, Ellie, dealing with self esteem and body issues. At first glance, this book looks rather light. However, it really deals with some deep issues. I think these are all handled very well. I would love to finish this book and continue the story, as I really enjoyed this passage
