I think the best way to split this book up would be by dividing it into three parts. The first third follows our main Character Ellie being bullied by a huge majority of people around her and losing her closest friend Viv. Which I think is my favorite section mainly because we get to get a feel of the main character's environment and how much of an effect it has on her mental state and how it all started and continues. It felt like reading an actual story with plots or at least things happening. The second part is a transitional period. She meets her therapist that helps her build her confidence and become a better person. And she meets my favorite character in this book Catalina. Sadly because this book is mainly about Ellie and how things effect her we don't get much info on Catalina, she's pretty much the best friend character but it didn't annoy me mainly because I always looked forward to reading about a scene with her in it. The third part showcases Ellie standing up for herself especially when it comes to her biggest enemies, her mom and Marissa and Kortnee. It was my least favorite section simply because everything felt way too simple and easy. Like quick easy mini games. Overall I enjoyed this book. It was an easy read, since I enjoy books written in verse. It made sense (being written in verse) since our main character is very poetic. Viv's relationship with her mom reminded me of the one with my mom and it made me happy to see the flip side of a toxic relationship between a mother and daughter. Viv has somehow less character than Ellie's other best friend Catalina but it makes sense since she is only brought up like 4 times. I feel like I should mention how great Catalina's family was ... They were amazing people.
