In just a few pages, I am already loving Ellie. I though the writing in verse would be distracting, but it totally works. It's almost as if I'm in the mind of this sixth grader, navigating the tough world of middle school made even tougher by her weight. This novel gives a voice to the often voiceless, in an engaging and tween-relatable way. **Afterthought - I now get the meaning of the title. Even more perfect!
