I like the simple way this book is written. I think even a reluctant middle school reader would find this style easy to read. I can see this book being perfect for 10-12 year old girls and maybe even a little younger. Those years are tough ones with many concerns about body image. I don’t know completely where the author is taking the reader, but I hope Catalina doesn’t betray Ellie, and I hope Ellie finds strength and confidence.
