That is the part that did me in. Through El’s interaction at breakfast with her mother I was so tearing up, but the above line brought the tears out. Then it just continued.
I have two young, beautiful daughters. They are not school aged yet and I pray that my girls are not bullied, nor that they become the bully. There is so much to be learned in the first 45 pages of this book, I need to experience the rest of it!
The cover is representative of the book. I was apprehensive about the writing style at first glance, but my goodness it is wonderful.
