From the cover I wanted to dive into this book and the wonderful surprise that it's all in verse just made it more thrilling. Reading Fipps's words brought about so much imagery that all the feelings came back to me of my middle school years. I love how so much is told in just a few stanzas and I applaud Fipps on how beautiful her debut is. Reading "Starfish" reminds me a lot of poems of "The Princess Saves Herself in this One" but I love how "Starfish" is one continuous story. Hope to read the full book one day!
