As a teenaged girls growing up in today’s society, I have struggled with my weight... a lot. It’s something that consumes my every day, and affects tiny things like how I sit in public or my Starbucks coffee order. From my first impression of this book, Lisa Fipps perfectly illustrates this insecurity that so many face, and in a voice that we can all relate to. This story is told through short poems, which heightens the young voice and makes the story more poignant.
