I was hooked from the very first chapter on this one!! Wow, what an incredible and unique story! THIS is the type of YA book I love to see - smart writing that doesn’t feel like it’s talking down to you, a creative plot and fantastic character development. It’s a sci-fi thriller but don’t let that scare you off if you aren’t a big science fiction reader, it’s easy to grasp and never gets super technical. I truly had no idea where this was going for most of it and flew through it in one afternoon. There is a bit of confusion in the late chapters with characters but I can’t really say more than that. It is somewhat of an open ending, but I thought that actually worked really well for the story. There were a few plot lines I felt needed a little bit more fleshing out, but nothing that took away from my love of the book.
