I don't read much Sci Fi. I don't go out of my way to read this genre. But the synopsis hooked me in and I was so excited when I heard that I won an ARC for this book. I LOVE YA and I will keep reading YA until I die. Anyway, I had no idea what to expect since I don't read this genre. I really enjoyed the dual timeline setup. The first chapter gives you a bit of info to start you off only to push you right into the middle of something that you are trying to figure out along with the FMC. I loved that the "big bad" wasn't some alien, but rather something that's relatable even in the middle of space in a ship next to a supposedly uninhabited planet. Then the ending of a chapter that makes your jaw drop by how the FMC ends it. I couldn't put this book down. Loved the thriller vibes to it throughout. I would happily pick up and read another book by this author. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to ARC read for you.
