Sparrow, Savannah Rose, is a 17 year old girl from Virginia (my home state). She's a ballerina with a troubled childhood due to her mother (something else I, in part, could relate to). She meets, what she thinks, is the perfect guy, Tristen King. He's a rockstar, has money to back him up, and is gorgeous. But, keeping her budding romance a secret is hard to do and the abuse inflicted upon her is almost deathly.
The writing in this book was a masterpiece. It is an immersing tale that will keep you gripped page after page. Reading from Sparrow's point of view was masterful and insightful. Then, being able to read the story from Lucas's side of the story, put pieces together that you don't even realize you were missing. This book is just everything.
