Mary Cecilia Jackson's, “Sparrow” explores a sensitive topic with a unique perceptive through
various viewpoints. The novel is
slow paced, but an easy and quick
read. I found the plot to be slightly difficult to understand, due
to the fact that parts seemed to missing to
make the plot have sense. The author may have done this on purpose, because it can reflects trauma victims mental state. I also found
the dialogue to be too robotic and not
natural. Nonetheless, I would recommend this novel for fans of ballet due its accuracy of the art form.
