Though Savannah Rose - Sparrow to her friends is a gifted ballerina, her real talent is keeping secrets. Schooled in silence by her long dead mother, Sparrow has always believed her lifelong creed "I'm not the kind of girl who tells" will make her just like everyone else: Normal. Happy. Safe. But in the aftermath of a brutal assault by her boyfriend Tristan, Sparrow must finally confront the ghosts of her past and find the courage to move on.

I thought this book would be heartbreaking and sad but it wasn't. I didn't feel anything while reading this book...NOTHING.

It was a quick read. I read it in one day but it was just meh.

This book was compared to Speak by Laurie Hale Anderson, so I was expecting Sparrow to be a brutal and devastating read. I was prepared to cry and be righteously angry. But NOPE!

Maybe I'm just dead inside but this book was a bit of a dud.
