I had the privilege of reading this novel via NetGalley. This was one of the hardest YA novels that I have read. As being abused as a child this novel touched close to home. I love that Mary was able to write this and show the confidence that comes after an abusive relationship. Like the novel dictates after an abusive relationship you have to regain your confidence and rebuild the life that you had. I think that this novel is a must read for all in order to understand that people can eventually come out of being abused. I am just having difficulty putting my thoughts into words. Although this is a fiction novel, it relates to life perfectly. If someone has been abused I would take time before reading this, but it does help
