Wow, just, wow. This book, about a young high school girl, a ballerina, who falls in love with the wrong guy, is just too poignant for words. The ballerina premise made me hesitant at first, but I promise it isn't overdone, and I loved the background. Sparrow has a close circle of friends who are all dancers or some sort of artists, and help her through the worst experiences you can imagine. Told from the perspective of Sparrow and then her closest dance partner, Lucas, it is incredibly compelling to see a situation from multiple people's point of view.

I loved how this book also dwelt on therapy, pointing out the importance of it in the healing process, and through this therapy, you discover even more terrible experiences Sparrow has had in her past.

This book was emotional - I cried about four times, and I am not typically a crier. It gets you in all the feels and highlights the importance of friendship.
