The cover is gorgeous. The writing is immersive and captivating. You are instantly thrust into the character's life and you find yourself rooting for the characters. This book deals with a heavy topic and in my opinion, it was done well. The characters were written well. I wanted to know more about the main character and her life. I also wanted to know more about the other characters that we see throughout the novel. I can't wait to read the rest of the novel. I liked that we get to see how the character deals with the situation. I hope we get to see more of the main character's strong nature and will. As soon as I heard this was a hard-hitting contemporary, I jumped on reading the preview because this is one of my most anticipated reads of 2020.
