The beginning of Sparrow is so relatable. Sparrow is the kind of girl that I can relate to - the kind of girl that anyone who wasn't popular in school can find things in common with. She's focused on pursuits that don't include being in the popular crowd, like ballet and doing well in school. The kind of things that don't get her noticed by boys like Tristan. Until he nearly hits her with his car. While she is thrilled to have him notice her and ask her to dinner, the summary of the book makes us aware that this couple doesn't have a happily ever after ending. I'm curious to learn more about Sparrow and her story.
