The first impression starts off as a lot of YA romance—girl's crush finally notices her. But the synopsis kind of gives the story away and I don't enjoy reading about violence of any kind. I also couldn't relate to the main character. Although we're only given a very short chapter, she just seemed like a stereotypical YA female character, except her thing is ballet. The synopsis was quite dark (secrets, domestic violence) and I just don't think it would be a book I'd enjoy.
