Song Of The Crimson Flower is a book I would not normally pick out on my own honestly. The genre is outside of my normal preferences, but the summary piqued my interest. So here we are.
The book itself is apparently based on folklore set in a magical world.. The book follows main characters Bao and Lan. Together, they're looking for a witch that set a curse on Bao.
There is magic, romance and more in this book. Lan becomes drawn to Bao because of the curse, but so much more.
The fantasy world is unique and easily drew my interest in. The writing style was beautiful and helped me feel like i was in the story with Bao and Lan.
Julie Dao is a talented author, and I will definitely be reading more by her!
