I have been a fan of Julie Dao's writing ever since Forest of a Thousand Lanterns. She somehow manages to effortlessly combine Eastern mythology, Asian culture, and magic into each of her novels, and I am living for it! I love the fact that she has created another story set in the same world as her previous two novels (love you Xi Feng). Quite frankly, I could live in this world forever. Not to mention the fact that her cover artists always come up with the most beautiful cover art that perfectly capture the very essence of her stories.
