The cover is gorgeous! The summary wasn’t really enough to give a glimpse of how everything started for Lan and Bao. The author was really able to give each character distinct personalities plus a plot that appears to be both historical and fantasy/mystical at the same time. I really felt by the end of the first few chapters that I needed to continue reading this book
