I can honestly say, after having read the OG Little Women for the first time this year, that So Many Beginnings is my preferred version of this story. Bethany Morrow does a great job of honoring the original but makes this story her own and I much prefer the changes that she made. The original Little Women came off as a little preachy to me, it was just a little strong, but I didn't feel the same way about this version. I also love that Morrow remixed the story with black characters in the lead, so many historical classic's are just about white characters and I feel like more of them need to be remixed with persons of color in leading roles. I would love to see Morrow tackle more stories like this! I am very grateful that I got a copy of this book and am excited to see what Morro's next book is going to be. I'm glad to have found such a new promising author and will await her new books with bated breath!
