I love the cover. it looks wonderful. seeing powerful women of color on the cover of a novel is always reassuring and lovely. this sounds like a great historical fiction book. It is always lovely to learn more about the struggles POC go through. I would love to see how this group of people created their own community at the height of the American Civil War
