I think the book does a really great job of keeping with the wholesomeness of the original Little Women, but it does seem a bit dry. Maybe the original was too and I just don't remember it. I think the book has real potential to be something great, and I'd be interested in reading more to see how the new characters diverge/intersect with the new ones. I think the cover could use some work to look more professional. It doesn't seem like a cover you'd see from a professionally designed book. So far, the book is reading as a little bit younger than I would like it to, but I think it has the potential to be more serious as it continues.
