Intrigue with Young March Ladies of the Civil War South
I love the fact that the main characters featured are sisters: Meg (teacher),Jo (writer), Beth (seamstress) and Amy (dancer).
This gives them a solid foundation to fall back on when life lets them down as they pursue their goals.
I love the historical setting which can be researched, the places and the times.
The story only makes me wonder how many other young talented women of colour were held back in their endeavours by history?
The cover is both inviting, makes me curious (was the family monied?) and each young lady while smiling, holds a few secrets behind those eyes I think!
I can hardly wait to finish this book!
