Despite my love of retellings, I don't think I've ever read a Little Women reimagining, and this seems like an excellent place to start. I love that this changes the setting to the American South mid-Civil War, and that this time the March family is Black, lending a completely different perspective and sets of potential issues. This seems like a smart, fascinating story.
