Thea Paris is escorting two young former child-soldiers from Africa to their new home in London when the plane they are on is hijacked. But it is not Thea, the hijacker wants (although he is a former nemesis), but something or someone else. Meanwhile somewhere else, there is a plan to spread a virus that will kill persons of Middle-Eastern descent by an Austrian group. Thea and her team have a lot to deal with. It has become personal to Thea. This is certainly a fast-paced, action packed thriller that is well written and character driven. Although, the second in a series involving Thea (who is a kidnap and ransom specialist), I didn’t feel that I missed anything by not reading the first novel to really get into this one. It is certainly entertaining.
