This kidnap and ransom novel began with a kick and continued to keep my blood pumping page by page. Not only did the author’s writing style impress me but I also was intrigued by the main character, a force woman who takes her job as a kidnap and ransom negotiator seriously. This novel has been compared to the Jack Reacher series but I found Skyjack to be more in depth and full bodied. More of a fireplace read than a quick airport grab. The balance of intensity with quality plot and writing really shine. Being that this is the second installment of the series with the same main character, Thea Paris, I will definitely be going back and giving the first novel some of my quality time.
