I really didn't know that this book was the second book in a series or I probably wouldn't have entered the raffle. I know that some books can be read as standalones but I'm really not one of those people who will read a book if it is in a series. It doesn't read like a second book in the series but it does make one curious to what happened in the first book.
This book is packed with action and character development and very short chapters. I feel though that more research could have been done on the subject matter and worked into the story. I think that would have developed the story a little more than what it was and it would have made the storyline far better than what it was.
