The co-pilot leaves the cockpit during severe turbulence, enters the restroom and then is unable to return to the cockpit. In the meantime, a passenger on the plane has suffered some sort of medical trauma and won't return to consciousness. Thea Parker, a kidnap negotiator, is on the plane escorting some children to their new adoptive parents and finds herself undertaking emergency medical treatment while learning that the pilot has other intentions. Where does it go from here?
