As soon as I heard Marie Lu was releasing a new book I knew I needed it. I fell in love with her books when I read Warcross. I continued to love her writing in the Legend series.
Her new book did not disappoint. It is a sci-fi/fantasy/dystopian and they mix well together. Her world building makes me feel like I am right there and alway takes me a minute to come back to the current world when I stop reading.
Marie Lu brings the characters to life and she fills the side characters that you care about them and what happens to them as well. I like that she doesn't rush a love story between Talin and Red and we will need to wait to see what happen in the next book, although hopefully she does it in an organic way.
I am excited for the second book in this series as I need to know what will happen.
