This is a sci-fi/fantasy book about Talin Kanami, a striker trained to kill war monsters called Ghosts, and Red, a mysterious man Talin decides to save. It took me a little while to warm up to Talin, but after I did she became one of my favorite characters. I also loved Red and the connection he and Talin had. Their relationship was not rushed or forced at all, something that is rare in young adult fiction.
The plot was very entertaining and fast paced, and after the first thirty pages or so I couldn't put the book down. The writing was what aided in it being so entertaining, not filled with too many details but still giving the reader a clear view of what is happening. I loved the high stakes action and the amazing world building. This book reminded me why Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors. I absolutely loved Skyhunter and 100% recommend it.
