Marie Lu writes fantastic action-packed books. I love the world building in Skyhunter, and the idea of "ghosts" (maybe more like zombies). Every page made me want to read more.

Talin is a striker- the only refugee that was given a chance by an elite striker. Corian is her shield and the only striker that will partner with her. Unfortunately that striker dies (in chapter 1) and Talin is about to get disowned or lose her job that took care of her mother (because she lost her partner). When a Federation deserter arrives, Talin tries to save him, and now she has a partner.

This book will contain themes of second chances, don't judge a book by its cover, refugees/immigrants, and protecting the poor.

And.. wow! I have read almost all of Marie Lu's books (I haven't read The Kingdom of Back yet.). And, I have to say that this one is the best one. That's saying a lot because I loved Legend and Wildcard.

While reading Skyhunter, almost every chapter I was thinking, "Wow! What?!?!" This book is so twisty and action-packed and good! My only complaint is that the book ends on a cliffhanger, and since I read an e-arc, it's going to be a long time before I get the next one. If you're the kind of person that needs a series to be done before you read this, you may want to wait a bit.
