In true Marie Lu fashion, Talin impresses from the get-go. She defies all stereotypes and norms that exist both in our world and her own and is a fierce Striker while still being a wholly relatable girl. Even this small taste of the book brought a lot of action and is quite exciting. I am excited to see Talin continue to defy the odds of everything the world has thrown at her. And as usual, the world that Lu has created is as vivid and imaginative as the one we live in.
