First off, that cover is a beautiful pyramid of colors and I wonder if the wings on Talin's shadow play a part in the book. I honestly loved the excerpt. I had every emotion in these shorts pages and I do not remember having feelings for characters that fast. My heart broke for Corian in the first chapter and I barely knew him! I felt immersed in the world and a connection to the characters and now I want more. The end to the excerpt was torture! I need to know why! Why does he want to die?! Who is he? I salute you, Marie Lu for drawing me in so immensely.
