I don't know why I've waited so long to read one of Marie Lu's books. This one is so good!
It has a creative plot line. The characters are extremely relatable. They pulled me into the story immediately, and I really cared about what was happening to them. It's fast-paced and well written, the kind of book it is difficult to put down. It's more science fiction than fantasy, but that did not even bother me (I typically prefer fantasy over science fiction.)
I am seriously invested in this story and will be reading the second book in the series as well as Marie Lu's other books. This one was so good, that I Marie Lu may have just become an auto-buy author for me.
