As my first Marie Lu book, this was an absolutely fantastic start! I've also never been a huge fan of the dystopian genre, but this really hit it for me in all the right ways.
The relationships between every character were great and all the twists that I never saw coming. Red and Talin and the speaker. I love the concept of the Strikers and Shields. Talin continued to grow on me even after getting to read the first chapters. But
The writing was just so good as well. Sometimes I have to use a large amount of imagination with descriptions, but not with Skyhunter. Everything was written with such detail that I could just see it immediately. I could feel what the characters were going through.
So glad I got this after the second book came out because with the ending, I immediately purchased the second. I can't wait to see how all of the stories end.
