Intriguing
Marie Lu definitely knows how to build a world that you can just step into and feel so alive. From the setting to the characters, everything was perfect. *chef's kiss* I loved reading from Talin's perspective and going along the journey. It all just makes me wonder how Ms. Lu could come up with these ideas and yearn for a peek into her head.
But overall, such a great read. I loved the cover and the title. Both were works of art. But the characters themselves were also great. You know you read something great when you sit staring at the wall after you're finished reading just to soak up the greatness and not let anything else get in the way.
And yes, there are aspects that are unrealistic, like the fact that emotionally unstable teenagers are saving the world rather than emotionally stable grandmas. But that is why it is fiction and fantasy. Can't wait for the next book!
