Let me start by raving about how pretty the cover is! The color scheme is so appealing and even the naked cover is aesthetically pleasing. The the inside? Not only was Skyhunter fast paced and fun, but it also cured by book slum.

Skyhunter revolves around Talin, a refugee. She's smart, compassionate and easy to root for. I also really liked the cast of characters. I liked how compelling and different from each other they were, but still moved as a unit and supported one another. They were a close knit group of friends and I really enjoyed their interactions. My favorite character was Red, who has a tragic backstory, but he was also the most interesting character.

As per usual, Marie Lu is a really good worldbuilder. Skyhunter takes place in a dystopian world, but it didn't feel generic or boring. Marie Lu gives you enough information that you can picture the world clearly without it feeling like there's too much information or info dump. There were still moments where I wanted the story to go more in depth with the history of the world, but I can understand that could confuse or take away from what is currently happening.

The plot was also fast paced and exciting. There was never a moment where I thought the plot was slow or boring. It felt like it got to the point without dragging on. However, there were times where I felt like things fell into place too easily. I also had some trouble feeling the tension between the war, however, that might have to do with the fact that it was fast paced.

Overall, I enjoyed Skyhunter. It was a fun, fast paced dystopian story that will have you rooting for its cast of characters. If you're a Marie Lu fan, you're going to enjoy this one.
