Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors, so I was overjoyed to win a copy of this book to add to my collection. I enjoyed Skyhunter! Though it is definitely different form her other stories, it has the same non-stop action and general vibe. Marie Lu doesn't disappoint with her plot creativity, action, and intriguing characters. I'm hoping for a little more romance in book 2, but this definitely is not supposed to be a love story. I am definitely excited to see what happens with Talin and Red in the next installment.
I also have to share some Cover Love -- it's absolutely gorgeous and I love the colors on it. The cover of the second edition is so pretty as well. I love the pink/yellow color theme -- it matches beautifully with the first one.
Did anyone else keep getting thrown off that this also had a Kerenza? I just finished a book talk about Illuminae, so that definitely played into it.
