Marie Lu is one of the best-known authors in YA literature; the majority of her novels are well-known and considered future classics from today's standpoint. Warcross is a futurist book of Lu's that I read and absolutely adored, so I expected to love this book as well, but Warcross was so spectacular this one just didn't fully interest me.
This plot seems to be the same course that futuristic YA novels take, such as Ready Player One, Aurora Rising, and even Warcross itself. They're predictable, which can be fun to read in certain books, however, if you read the same plot over and over again, it gets boring and tiring to read.
Important details in this book would've made the plot stand out from the other books of its kind. There was so much going on that wasn't really explained and simply left you wondering what the answers were throughout the entirety of the book.
