I've read Marie Lu's other books, including the Legend series, the Warcross duology, and The Young Elites. I loved them all, and Skyhunter is no exception. Talin is a Stiker, a member of an elite force that is the only thing standing between Mara, the last free nation, and the Karensa Federation and their vicious Ghosts. Ghosts are humans that the Karensa Federation has cruelly experimented on, turning them into something monstrous. When the Strikers capture a young man from the Karensa Federation, Talin protests her leader's decision to execute the prisoner. Her leader listens to Talin and spares the man, a decision that would prove to be wise because that prisoner may hold the key to stopping the Karensa Federation and their Ghosts once and for all.
I loved the worldbuilding in this book, and the writing was superb. The characters were deeply developed and complex. The ending of Skyhunter makes me even more excited for its sequel.
