This book is about our main character Talin, who only has the choices is to be; unwavering, courageous and sharp-eyed in a world that doesn't love her. And OH MY GOSH. Talin is such a fighter. Her going against something that she knows herself has no hope for, though with the act of just trying was really something that I look up to. She fights against power structures that can easily kill her off, but never gives up and her resilience is tear-jerking. She is really relatable with the fact that the only thing that pushes her to do something or anything at all is for her mother. A lot of my own life, I'd had gotten up and done things even when I had no energy to and even depressed, was for my mother, too. I had wanted to do my best like Talin, even through hard times.

The writing style easily caught my attention and made me stick to every page.
I felt like I was right next to Talin throughout the whole book. The story is interesting and unique. The beginning really is quite different and I have never read a book that was like this one. Whenever there is a women/female main lead character who is put into tough situations I'm right away hooked for that type of story, it's pretty addicting, and something that I loved in this book. I look up to Talin for being so unyielding to all the harshness in her world and helped me not give up on my own self, throughout all the harshness in my own world. I look up to her, she's pretty iconic.

The book cover is gorgeous and honestly I think it's really cool to how the story came out to be. The story definitely snatched my attention more than the book cover did and honestly I like that. It's better than having a gorgeous cover and really disappointing and shallow story that doesn't meet your standards. Though also, at the same time, as I progressed through-out the story, I came to understand and love the cover more and really see it's meaning and I really grew on me.

Loved it!
