I did not finish this book. I see I am in the minority with not enjoying this book. I did try but I just could not get into the story. The story of a Chinese girl wanting to be a movie star so bad that she will do anything to become one. The hint of magic and blood rituals are all enticing to me but I found the pacing slow and the story confusing at times. Reading it felt tedious and did not hold my interest at all. I found my self having to reread paragraphs because my mind kept wondering. It's supposed to be fantasy and there are hints at it but it just was random and didn't make sense as to what it meant. There were way too many names and just injected constantly, I found it annoying. I really love the premise and was looking forward to this but I guess I'm just not who this book is meant for. Maybe I will give it another try in the future but right now this is not for me.
