I wasn't expecting so much supernatural elements in here, but I think that it added a whole new level to the story. It was definitely a fun read with being set in old Hollywood as it's not often written about. Especially with a main character that is Asian-American, there's not a lot out there and we need more.
It was an interesting read, that although I didn't read it all in one sitting, I really enjoyed it and was swept up in the story line. Would I read it again? Maybe not but I'm glad that the preview intrigued me enough to want to give it a shot. I really hope that the niche this was written for finds it because I think it will be big.
I do think that it took me awhile to understand that there was a magical element to the story. Like it was good and fun, but some elements took longer for me to distinguish. I genuinely disliked some characters and was enthralled with others and everyone's plot line.
